Hitobito is an open-source software that aims to cover the administration of groups and associations. It is as versatile as the landscape it serves. In technical terms, this means the deployment strategy has to be very flexible as well.
In this talk, Hitobito will be showcased using two concrete use cases: a small group and a large association that consists of several groups. Matthias will focus in particular on how a group's existing structure is translated into the software's the group- and permissions model when creating a new instance. What needs to be considered when laying out the architecture of groups, roles, events, mailing lists, ... And into which repository are these particularities going into?
Last but not least, he will briefly talk about the development process and how you too can become a contributor yourself.
The talk will be held in German.
