Theme night: Home lab
We invite you to the first theme night! In this first edition of the event we will talk about Home Lab
- Datum: Thursday, 31st of October 2024
- Zeit: Starting 19:30, doors open at 19:00
- Ort: At our Hackerspace (Zwyssigstrasse 45 in 3007 Bern)
After a short introduction to the topic, there will be a couple of lightning talks. These are short presentations with a maximum duration of 5 minutes. After a short break, we will then take a closer look at the topic in a discussion round.
The theme evenings are an open format to which everyone is invited.
The topic
Your own server at home. Or several of them? With a few VLANs to boot! Who doesn't know it. We set up our home labs out of interest, to try out exciting technologies and the urge to learn new things. Or for very practical reasons; a NAS for storing backups and streaming movies and music to the TV in the living room. The possibilities in terms of hardware and software are almost unlimited.
